What is Permanent Makeup?
Permanent makeup is the self-beautifying, confidence boosting time-saver that we all have been looking for. Using a variety of safe and sustainable techniques, the pigmentation under the superficial layer of skin is toned to highlight your latent and natural beauty. At Ariyah Allure, we focus on the pre-care and post-care so you know what to expect, how to treat yourself and when to come back to see me again!
Does it hurt?
Permanent Makeup application should never hurt when the correct methodology is used and procedures performed. While it is reasonable to expect some minor discomfort as we apply the beauty reveal technique, at Ariyah Allure, we mitigate pain by using a variety of medical-grade numbing creams, designed with your sensitity in mind, and are only used for these procedures.
What is Your Process?
At Ariyah Allure, our process centers on YOU! We put you at the forefront starting with a chat or coffee and dish through the Discovery Process - what inner beauty are you looking to reveal today? The next logical step is to design YOUR desired look, with a test case and palette selection. Your style comes through with certainty and we go from there. Your passion is our purpose!
What do I do if I don't like it?
This is rare & infrequent! At Ariyah Allure, PMA Kylee takes pride in never having had a disappointed client! The utmost precaution and preparation are taken in advance to understand precisely how you want the reveal to proceed. Your satisfaction, however, is guaranteed - and we ensure your delight. If at any point in the process you are not feeling 100% your best self we will ensure to reschedule an update to your new look at no further cost to you.

Pre-Care
No two skin types and tones are the same! Everyone’s reaction will be ever so slightly different.
Contact me for a consultation so I can address any question and alleviate any single concern!
That said, most of Pre-Care comes down to awareness; what is the procedure, how am I
affected and when do I get to start enjoying my amazing self-investment?
First, please understand that for the first 2-3 days following any application of permanent makeup, you will have swelling, redness and tenderness in the area of your newly applied makeup.
Any treated area should take around 4 - 8 weeks to fully heal, although for some individuals it varies. Once your procedure is over and during the healing process, it may look either too dark or too light.
Right around 4 weeks for lips, and about 8 weeks for brows, your treatment color will come in perfectly as planned! At your follow up or touch up visit, which we will schedule, any irregularities are corrected and filled.
Limit upcoming social plans, so you can prioritize your healing!
Eat well before and don’t forget to pack a snack &
something to stay hydrated – procedures are most often a few hours long.
The industry
recommends taking extra vitamins and calcium prior to your appointment to help
healing and reduce swelling. It is
recommended that you NOT take vitamin B.
Use a basic soap (for your skin type) and no moisturizers
for several days prior to your procedure.
Discontinue any waxing or tweezing 2 days in advance. No electrolysis starting 5 days in advance.
Refrain from any blood-thinning products (alcohol,
aspirin, ibuprofen), starting at 7 days in advance, as always consult a physician
with any question about medications, etc.
I work with you up front to establish a clear understanding of what you’ll experience and how to get the absolute best from working with me!
That said, if you’re unsatisfied we will work together to get you to a
place where you LOVE the new you, that is my commitment to you and our community.

Post-Care
Now that you're home with your new brows or lips, please follow as directed by your artist.
Most of Post-Care ALSO comes down to awareness; what should I expect, how do I treat reactions to the treatment, and when do I get to start enjoying my amazing self-investment?
No makeup until properly healed.
Do not expose your healing skin to direct shower spray, skin creams, ointments, or lotions
other than what you have been instructed to use.
Do not expose your healing skin to direct sun, tanning beds, hot tubs (tub bath if body area
treated), saunas, saltwater, chlorinated pools, or extremely hot water for weeks following your procedure.
Use sunscreen daily.
Avoid direct sun exposure including being around large bodies of water, as well as teeth
whitening, and smoking.
If you are planning chemical exfoliation or other medical procedures, please inform your
physician of your permanent makeup.
For lips, it’s generally recommended to avoid hot, spicy, and
salty foods as it may cause added irritation.
I recommend pampering your new makeup and keep a
protective veil of Vaseline or your after-care kit, as instructed, over the affected area.
Scabbing and sloughing are normal! However, we need to keep areas well protected.
This prevents drying, which can “lift out” the newly implanted color.
Always wear sunglasses and sunscreen when outside.
Ice packs that are protected with a cloth may be applied as
necessary to reduce swelling.
Wash your hands before touching any treated area. Cotton-tipped applicators may be used
to gently cleanse the eye area. Do not expose the area to dirty or unsanitary
conditions.
Some itching is normal. DO NOT PICK, PEEL, OR SCRATCH the treated area, or your color may
heal unevenly and you risk scarring and infection.
I will work with you up front to establish a clear understanding of what you’ll experience and how to get the absolute best from working with me!
That said, if you’re unsatisfied we will work together to get you to a
place where you LOVE the new you, that is my commitment to you and our community.
